My cat didn’t really die. It’s just the story to accompany the photos. We write on material, not facts. NY Times, baby.

Well, practice last night was pretty awesome. But my night didn’t really begin until shortly after. Please allow me to regale you with this timeless tale.
This is a pole. This pole resides in the left-rear quadrant (if you will) of a parking space located just in front of the worship offices at ORCC. Last night, I parked in this pole’s space, which I now believe angered this pole.
This is my car shortly after my failed attempt to back out of said parking space. Notice that the bumper has become a tad separated from the chassis in a few spots. I’m hoping it will buff out. Now, in this next picture, I look extremely happy to be standing in front of my trashed car:
But, let me assure you I was laughing only to keep from crying my eyes out.
Well, that and it was probably the stupidest thing I’ve ever done in a motor vehicle. No joke there. I was, to be succinct, pissed as all get out. In the American sense. And it kind of made me want to get pissed as all get out. In the Irish-American sense. This was the most ridiculous event of the year so far.
Here’s me stuffing my bumper into my car.
Here’s my bumper stuffed in my back seat. (That last sentence may be NSFW, so be careful.)
This is Brinkley 2.0, now with a sort of DeLorean/Mad Max attitude. I’m pretty stoked, I’m sure I’ll be getting great mileage now with my custom-configured direct-air intake and decreased frame weight. I’m pretty happy with the results, I don’t think I could have done much better. Not that both lights and blinkers remained intact through the entire scenario. Miraculous. And finally, here’s me ripping my bumper off in a fit of rage because I just found out my beloved family pet cat has died after a battle with cancer.
Damn you cancer!!!
Thanks for reading.
one of the most amazing performances. I love that crazy bohemian.
Last night was, to put it mildly, off the hook. Yes. It was that good. Ladies Night at Catalyst proved to be a huge success. We debuted a brand-new song written by Mark and I am honestly floored by how incredible it was. Yes, it sounded awesome. I mean, dang. But more than that there was an obvious move of God in the music last night; it was sweaty, smoky, and intense. All the ways it should be. I am excited to be a part of the house band and see where we wind up as the writing takes off and as we continue to push and get better. This is my band. As a quick PS, I am reading “Velvet Elvis,” for the very first time, and I think it is wonderful. I am really really loving it. Definitely on my recent list of “must-reads,” along with “Uncensored” by Jeanne Mayo and as always, “The Virgin Suicides.” Enjoy.
Being a guitar player costs lots of money. I don’t have any money. I really want an RC Booster. It is the most delicious sounding pedal. But I’ll find a way. Just a rant for now.
For some reason, today at work I set about assigning hip, alcohol-related nicknames to some of my fellow Mac Specialists. Now, I don’t really drink…ever, but I enjoyed this task. DJ, a specialist, soon adopted the moniker of “Whiskey Sour.” His response: “I was trying to get ‘T-Bone,’ but I like it.” Excellent. I soon became “Scotch ‘n’ Beans,” and I have a feeling that Binh will soon become “Vodka Stinger,” which could subsequently be the name of his finisher move. I love my job.
I am so hungry right now, but have no option but to jump upstairs and fight my way through the Park Meadows food court. I am not excited about this, but I AM excited to read a little more of “Night Watch” and fill my little belly.
well, I’ve finally moved over to wordpress, in light of recent changes in my life. I think this is a good reflection of that.
today is my first 7am shift at the Apple Store. I’ll be doing personal training sessions all day to teach people how to be really good at advanced math. when I can, I’m going to try to sneak away to read more of “Night Watch” by Sergei Lukyanenko. So far, the book is really, really good. It tells the story of the forces of Light and Darkness who, each side unable to overthrow the other, maintain a shaky truce in modern-day Moscow. Each side polices the other to ensure that no element of the treaty is broken, with the forces of light (Night Watch) and the forces of darkness (Day Watch,) keeping tabs on one another. I rented the movie version last year and loved it, so last night at Tattered Cover I picked up the book. I really like edgier fantasy like this, so I’m excited to read through it.
I think that, were it possible to “officially” suck at blogging, I would “officially” suck at blogging. Ricci, Hoshi, and Mark are all handing it to me as far as consistent posting goes. Just my little thought for the day. I think I”m going to run errands and listen to lots and lots of Bleach today.
