through a pinhole

Today, following some inspiration from Stuff Christians Like, I scrounged up some change and trudged up to Albertson’s for some Apple Jacks. Lets face it: Apple Jacks are amazing. More amazing, even, than getting to use the words “scrounge” and “trudge” in the same sentence. I’ve been pretty down on my writing lately, feeling like there’s no point and like I’m forcing everything. So getting outside and walking helped tremendously. I at least feel somewhat creative again, though I’m still not sure what I’m supposed to do with it. What do you do when your strongest desire is to be creative but you feel like you’re missing an outlet?

Writing is my outlet - I like to write blogs, essays, poetry, song lyrics… so if I can’t seem to get my mind wrapped around one way, I’ll switch to another… and if I can’t get it, I just journal until I can make the words come…

I wish I could answer that question because I’m in that same boat right now. 100% frustrating is what it is.

get the same way. I want to write an epic song, but get stuck in the confines of my cube.

I like to create a soundtrack for a movie (either an existing movie or one I make up) in my head. I’ve always had a dream of creating the soundtrack for a movie or directing a music video. Music is very visual to me. Those outlets feel like a completion to the music to me.
